The Australian government today released plans to further shame pensioners and unemployed people living on welfare payments, under the plan they will control where and on what pensioners and unemployed will be able to spend their welfare payments.

This disgraceful move by the Australian government will further increase the shame most recipients of welfare feel and is a return to the old class system .

Not only is this move by the Australian Government unconstitutional it is also discriminatory and stinks of the same stench apartheid raised in South Africa, most pensioners and unemployed already feel like second and third rate citizens without the government not only reinforcing those feelings but making them blatantly obvious to everyone in the supermarkets and stores.

These people are not children and don't need parenting by a government that can barely control it's own waste spending, it is presumptuous and an appalling abuse of power.

It's about time politicians realised that they are simple employees paid to do a job, paid for by these same people they now want to shame and belittle before the nation.

No they no longer pay taxes but heck the majority of them especially pensioners have worked hard all their lives until illness or old age prevents them from finding further employment and have paid their share of taxation some have even put their very lives on the line in service of their country only to have some rich kid politician who has never dirtied their hands with real work tell them how they should spend the meagre handout the government gives them fortnightly.

they are constantly under attack by people saying they are paid too much when the reality is they are far below the poverty line sure you can get by if you cut out all pleasure eat frugally and only buy low code or out of date groceries, by the time they have paid their utilities,rent & purchased a little fuel for the car (if they are lucky enough to own one)they are left with very few dollars for entertainment or replacing worn out clothes etc.

Overlooking a citizens basic constitutional rights and pushing the country back into what could only be described as a feudal system where the disadvantaged are treated like peasants while working class and the politicians who act like their are aristocracy instead of the public servants they really are look down their noses and laugh in their faces as they are forced to line up in separate queues in the supermarkets and shops to purchase their food.

Even where they can line up with the "normal" people they will still feel shame having to use the special cards issued to them to make purchases cards that stand out and mark them as part of the lower class, why not stencil the word peasant across their foreheads or tattoo them with a serial number like Hitler tattooed the jews before he pushed them into the gas chambers or lined them up in the ditches they had just been forced to dig so burying their bullet riddled bodies was easier.

Australia is not a police state we are supposed to have a democratic and fair system of government but todays announcement simply highlights just how far from those ideals this country is and indicates that we really live in a dictatorship one controlled by a few over privileged people who use mass hysteria and blatant threats to control the nation.

Will this current plan be the straw that breaks the camels back and plunges a nation into civil unrest crime and poverty ?, it just might
